GIMP TIGER
A bizarre avant-garde play called Gimp Tiger throws its producers’ personal relationship into muddy waters.
Director: Sean Gallen
Writer: Alan Wanders
DOP: Alessandro Veridiani
Shot on location in London and Harlow, UK
Gimp Tiger was presented at Cannes Film Festival 2016 in the „Short Corner“ Section.
I was responsible for scenography, costumes and graphics (poster and end titles).
The poster was initially used for the play within the film. The dancers’ poses were inspired by voguing, a very stylised modern dance that was also used as base for play’s choreography.
After I saw the location for the first time I had two days to prepare stage design, therefore it had to be simple and fast to build. The golden diamond was easy for the actors to interact with and fulfilled the director’s wish for a funky and glam rock element.
