A TALE OF WĄCHOCK - THE CHRONICLE

This book cover illustration was created for a poetic chronicle of Wąchock, written by the client’s great-grandfather.

The goal was to blend the essence of the city with the presence of the author, drawing inspiration from fairy tales and historical chronicles. To achieve this, I designed a backdrop featuring key symbol of Wąchock - the Cistercian Abbey, framed by an ornamental border incorporating the city’s coat of arms.

At the center, the portrait of the author shows him at work, based on a photograph provided by the client.

The book received highly positive feedback during its presentation in Wąchock. It was a privilege to illustrate a piece of family history woven into the city's past.
